Heh heh

Short and snappy. Enjoyable humour, neat animation, good voice acting, nice sound design. Only complaint is that the pacing was a little off, didn't quite click perfectly. Still good work and a good joke.

Stylish beyond words.

Really great stuff, a super classy animation. I love the thick black outline and blocky colors of the characters. Even the slightly slow frame rate added to the style and the music was also incredibly slick. The whole thing had a great vibe and the title and credits all fitted in perfectly, along with the nicely presented speech bubbles.
You've made something really fresh here and it immediately sprung out at me, and kept me interested the whole way through. Good luck with making more, and congrats on creating something so great!

Hmm...

Interesting. The very start was nice, but the continues still shot of planet earth got a little tedious after a while. I suppose it was necessary and any cuts might have been jolting but still my interest waned. The flower falling on to the earth was nicely animated but the new flowers appearing had no animation at all. Just one frame they're there and next they aren't. You should really have done a bit more than that.
The scene with the man praying was also a little static. But you had more animation there and the lip synching was nice. The words being said weren't that interesting, but they held my attention. All in all it was interesting and original, just a little slow paced for my liking. Good work!

Really well made but...

The animation is amazing. Really top quality stuff, really nice fbf with no noticeable resizing. Good sense of weight and momentum and interesting character models with enjoyable acting. However i feel at times the pacing was a little off. Pacing is a really hard thing to perfect (especially in animation) but it is extremely important for creating good comedy. I felt some of it was a little slow, and left the wit seeming a little slow and dull. It needs to be sharper and more immediate. The characters were fairly intriguing and enjoyable to watch, but i felt the complaining ginger could get a little annoying, especially with his tone of voice. I loved the idea of a supervillian whos power involved holding his breath being a smoker. It seems like a nice concept and this was a great introduction, good luck with future episodes!

Heh

Ha i love this series. Great parody of lots of different parts of popular culture and just enjoyable humour. The animation obviously leaves a lot to be asked, but it suits the over the top scenarios and crazy comedy. The awkward scene at the grave yard was great and you keep a plot flowing throughout so no matter how weird the scenarios are it never seems pointless. Keep it up!

Thanks! Haha glad you liked it

What on earth...

You've put it in the parody genre so maybe i just don't know what it's parodying but i honestly had no clue what was going on. I mean that has some charm to it, not knowing what's going to happen next, and not even knowing what just happened but a little context or characters to relate too or something might have been nice.
The music seemed a little out of place, western music for a space adventure? An epic swelling score for a blue bear being shot in the head? The whole thing was a little quality, did you export is a video and then reimport as a swf or soemthing? Also the animation was pretty damn rigid and it was all tweens, non of that juicy fbf that i like. Anyhow i guess this whole thing was just lost on me, yet somehow kept me interested...

PRELOADER

Pre-loaders are very important. This is a big file, 24.6mb, and one too big for me too immediately stream. It's annoying having to constantly pause and play and restart because i don't know how much has loaded.
That being said you have something really good here, the art style is REALLY nice and enjoyably detailed. The comedy was nice, but the music made me thing it would be something a little more serious, i think voice acting and sound effects would have set a better tone for comedic moments, and the song could have begun along with the mouse parts.
The story and concept were super cool and the dark and murky world you created was engaging. Shame it was pretty much all tweens, but i suppose thats all that art style really allows for.

Nice

I like the set up and the sound effects where great, along with the artwork you really created an office feel. I liked the idea of a depressed clown stuck with some shitty day job. But i think the pacing was a little off, and the ending was far to fast and sparsely animated for me to really enjoy it. You should have drawn it out it a bit more having the clown sigh heavily, pick up the shredder, look at it, THEN kill himself. As is you have a fairly nice piece of work, which having been made in what i assume was a rush, is good going.

Otto responds:

Thanks for your kind words - I tried hard for the details. And I totally agree - I may finish the ending properly as I envisioned it soon and put a dump link on this page so I don't feel so unsatisfied! :D

Awesome

Ha ha, it's funny because everyone is treating it like some national holiday. Just like every other historical anniversary it's an excuse to get drunk. Nice animation, i was immediately laughing when i saw the twin towers cake, comedy gold. The voice acting was well done and the timing was snappy and not too drawn out like some of the stuff is these days. The animation was good too, always nice to see some fbf. Good stuff!

Interesting

The sound tracks awfully midi, which is already for guitar sounds but the strings at the start sounded super screechy, and some of the song transitions are a little dodgey. The compositions themselves though are very nice, some really catchy tunes there. The art style was great, especially the colours, i just wish there had been a bit more fbf and a bit less tweening. The concept of the hats telling a love story was original, but i wasn't a huge fan of it. Nice to see something fresh like this on NG though, congratulations on making such an artistic piece!

omegafrei responds:

In fact, the entire soundtrack I composed in Melody Assistant and then edited it. Will would be so much better over fbf? One would try to see. Thanks anyway
