Stirring

I really liked this, and im not sure why its got such a low score... Anyhow it has a nice set of instruments, an interesting structure (i like the slow start) and a really rousing melody and theme. Very epic and extremely well made!

Repetition.

Ok first off that drum beat for the first 40 seconds or so is dumb and pointless. To be honest almost all the drumbeats throughout are pretty bad, trying adding a bit more variation, fills and pauses etc. The melodies are nice though and gave the piece a good relaxing feel. Try some different ways of moving from one melody to another other than just stopping one and replacing it with the other. I liked the counter melodies building up at around 2 minutes. The sounds are all nice, as in the synths sound good. Just try adding a bit more variation, perhaps have a slower swelling start instead of that annoying drum beat?

Nice, i really did like this piece, the melody and piano are both nice. The strings playing a more staccato rhythm underneath entering at around 2mins were slightly off putting. Im not sure if they are off time due to a slow atack or its just there rhythm slightly jars with the piece but there is something to tweak there. Other than that it was nice, good structure as well. Good luck in future songs, i hope you make more of this quality!

Nice and new!

This was rad. Really interesting new style, i liked your flow and i liked your rhymes. The hook was catchy and the instruments were unique not the same "bangin beats" that the rest of Newgrounds of hip-hop is filled with. Your delivery was cool i liked your chilled voice, and overall this was refreshing and enjoyable to listen to!

Yeah, I unintentionally recorded it with quite high gain on, so it's almost got that vinyl crackle. At first I considered rerecording it, but it's actually quite nice! Thanks for the review

Awesome i really liked this! Really original and some great melodies, only think i'd say is some of its a bit repetitive perhaps in the parts where melodies are just repeating you could mess around with the drum beat or mastering? Anyhow it was a nice song and i enjoyed listening to it, thanks!

I liked it, always nice to hear something unique. And don't worry zero bombers, the reason you got zeroed will be nothing to do with your music.
Oh and what is sidechaining?

ugh.. i know, but theyre still annoying pricks. it defeats the purpose of actually having a rating system.

Anyway sidechaining is that when a sound peaks above a variable threshhold, it drowns out the sound channel (for the time its peaking) its sidechained to. this really makes the beat stand out and makes it sound huge. example: listen to the choir in the beginning. this is actually not being shifted in volume in any way. its because its sidechained to the kick. i hop this is clear enough. :P its difficult to explain.

Epic

This is awesome. The progression is really good, everything builds up or changes before it becomes boring. The melodies are all nice, sometimes you get this generic dance music, but this really has catchy tunes and is really memorable. The speach was a nice touch, i always love songs with a stirring sample. Great stuff!
