Did you write this one with DonCarrera too?

Great stuff keep it up (i'm reffering to the acting, not the music)!

Emma responds:

No this is a solo project. I've never worked with DonCarrera - not sure where you got that from, sorry. Thanks though :).

Great!

The first thing i noticed when i played was how clean and clear the guitar and voice sounded. The mastering/mixing is great and i was pleasently suprised by how professional it sounded. The lyrics were a little hard to concentrate on because of the style of singing, (holding syllables for a long time, occasional melisma) so i can't really comment on the story told. The overall tone and mood of the piece was great though, i especially liked the part at 3:04, great emotional feel. The drums were interesting, the strings were a nice touch and i really enjoy your singing. All in all it was a very enjoyable listen, keep it up!

Pretty good

Though i think the mixing was a little off at times, too much background noise and sudden changes in volume. Still pretty good script, i particularly enjoyed the first character the bum pleaded to.

JaShinYa responds:

Thanks for the critique! mixing is definitely something I need to work on, but I'm glad you enjoyed it overall.

lol

lol

ZJ responds:

What's so Goddamn funny, punk?

Great

I really enjoyed this. Your voice is full of enthusiasm and soul, and it whilst the song was a little generic you had some unique touches like the brass sounding instruments in the background. The recording all sounded good, everything fits nicely and the mix and overall it sounds pretty damn professional. The only thing i would like to see is something that pushes the boundaries a little more, something a little more experimental. But this shows a great deal of talent and enthusiasm, and was a very enjoyable listen. Keep it up!

Beautiful

I loved the panning at the start and the sound of the train, had a very cinematic feel that dragged me into the world this beat creates. You have some interesting samples in here and everything sounds super proffesional. The beat rolls along nicely and you keep it varied enough, but not so varied it couldn't be rapped over. I would love to here someone over this, but until then i'll just have to enjoy ti for what it is, which is beautiful.

Crueltool responds:

Yeah man! Urban style movie about grafitty work)) Thanks)

Lovely

The stopping and starting is enjoyable at first but gets a litle tedious after a while. Perhaps you should have let the strings fade out for a little longer rather than stop so abruptly which is a little jaring. The melody line is nice because it wanders, it goes places and it isn't the static repetitive riffs you often get with this sort of music . Of course doign that sort of nomadic melody is harder and thus some parts of this piece sound a little off. Still i enjoyed it throughout, are you sure you didn't mean to make it a loop because it loops nicely? You really should have thought pf a better name though, "faded innocence" is so cliche!

Interesting

Very interesting. Odd choice of instruments, especially what sounds like whisteling. However everything is a little TOO echoey and that puts me off a bit. The chord pattern isn't particulary catches me and is in contrast with the instruments, which create a very definite feel, as the chord structure doesn't really go anywhere or do anything to give the piece a mood. I think if you worked on that you could have something very nice here, but until then it feels a little stale despite the ood sounds.

FelTiProductions responds:

I'll sharpen the sound more next time before export. But, I know what you mean, about the "staleness", of sound; it doesn't really change much as in, for a melody, and there really isn't much of a difference between the chorus chords; and the melody chords. I guess, there aren't that many cuts in the beat as a whole, either. I have to take the time to put all of that into the song; so, now when i make a new one, I'm going to make it a priority, to take that bland feel out of the situation and give it a little more life, apart from the monotone, melodies, some times i get caught up in the echo and it throws me way off too, i make so much music a day, that i treat sound kinda cynical in a way, but thanks for the input, i appreciate the feed back.

Sorrowful

A very sad piece indeed, full of gasping pain. The melodies and harmonies are all nice, and the structure, whilst simple, works. The thing is with a piece as "simple" as this you need to make sure all the instruments sound perfect, that they have just the ride speed of attack, that they all mingle in the mix perfectly, that their timbres don't clash and that everythings equalized to perfection. I feel you are a little off in those departments, some of the sounds are a bit synthy and come in too sharply. You have a good premise here but it needs to be PERFECT for it to work and not come off as a little cliche. Good luck.

Great

I really enjoyed this. The mix of the different instruments and there individual textures works really well and the piece has a very interesting elegiac feel. It sounds somewhat holy, with bells that remind me of church. The run that comes in at 0:32 is pure genius and fits in very nicely. The beat flows well and has strength and life. It had me nodding my head and i could easily imagine some ardent rapping over the top. Good stuff!

DiroNomer responds:

Thanks. I intended for this to be longer, but I pretty much lost interest after 30 or so minutes lol. Since I used FL demo to make this, I was just going to close it out and give up on it, but I figured it sounded good enough to be uploaded and turned into a short loop. I appreciate the comment :D
